If you enjoy lots of sight-seeing, walking, guided tours with a community of friends — this is the trip for you!
In Rome: Basilica of St. John Lateran, the Holy Stairs, St. Peter’s Basilica, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, a Papal Audience in St. Peter’s Square, Catacombs of St. Sebastian.
In Assisi: the Chapel of the Porziuncola, the chapel of the Transito where St. Francis of As- sisi died, the Rose Garden, and a tour of the town of Assisi, learning about the lives of St. Francis and St. Clare.
In Florence: the Duomo, a tour of the Florence as “the Cradle of the Renaissance”, time for private sightseeing (there are many shops famous for their Italian leather and gold jewelry!)
If continuing onto Medjugorje, you will have Mass at the Church of St. James, visit the Blue Cross, visit Vicka’s old family home, a walk through the vineyards to the Hill of Apparitions, with an optional tour to Cenacolo, a community for recovering drug addicts, and end with an ascent to the top of Cross Mountain, praying the Stations of the Cross.
