The Weston CARES Fund in partnership with Society of St. Vincent de Paul wants to Help Neighbors in Need During the Pandemic
In just a matter of months, COVID-19 has upended life as we know it. The disruption caused by the virus has been fierce and far-reaching, affecting everyone, especially and disproportionately, our most vulnerable residents. COVID-19 has killed over 400,000 people worldwide and over 7,000 Massachusetts residents.
Millions more have lost their jobs and face food and housing insecurity. It is hard to imagine, much less measure the full impact of this pandemic. Where does one begin to help when the magnitude of need is enormous and getting larger?
Many in our midst have said “I received a CARES check from the Federal Government. How can I help local organizations and people in need…right now?”
This is where the Weston CARES Fund and Society of St. Vincent de Paul can help!
The Weston CARES Fund (WCF) provides emergency grants to local non-profit agencies and residents of Weston and surrounding towns confronting food and housing challenges caused by COVID-19’s detrimental impact on the local economy. The WCF is hoping to currently raise $100,000 to assist neighbors in need.
Please consider how you can help your local neighbors in need right now and donate through the Weston CARES Fund.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Joseph Conference, is our Catholic parish’s non-profit organization serving those locally in our midst, who are in need of food or emergency assistance, or who are seeking guidance about availability of other resources.
Do you or someone you know need food or help? Please learn about our services or donate to the parish’s Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
