ST. JULIA PARISH LENTEN/EASTER OPPORTUNITY
In the Bible we read that Jesus asks us to feed the hungry. During this season of Lent our St Julia Parish Saint Vincent de Paul Conference is offering you an opportunity to do that.
Presently, our SVdP pantry is feeding 79 clients most of whom live in Lincoln or Weston. This is a 46% increase in clients since last October. In order to purchase their Easter meal, we give our food pantry clients gift cards to the grocery store of their choice. These gift cards are of varying amounts depending on the number in the client’s family.
The gift cards will give our clients hope, dignity, a bit of joy, and will be evidence of the caring and support of our Parish.
Please make your check payable to Saint Vincent De-Paul Society. In the memo section of the check be sure to note Easter Gift Cards. Checks and cash donations can be put in the Saint Vincent DePaul poor boxes that are located at the back of our church, or mailed to Saint Vincent De-Paul PO Box 324 Lincoln, MA 01773.
Money collected beyond the needs for Easter gift cards will go toward emergency gift cards and other pantry food needs. Your past donations have made a wonderful difference in our clients’ lives. Thank you for helping to feed the hungry this Easter.
