Venezuela Earthquake Victims Need Our Help! Give Online to Catholic Relief Services
Dear Friends,
As you have likely seen, the people of Venezuela are suffering enormously from devastating earthquakes. As of today, nearly 1,000 people have lost their lives, and more than 3,000 have been injured. Some media reports note that more than 40,000 people are missing. These numbers will only grow over the hours and days ahead.
The Catholic Church, through Catholic Relief Services (CRS), is working through Caritas Venezuela and the local Church to quickly deliver emergency shelter, food, safe water, medical care, and other critical relief to those affected.
To help meet this expanding need, Archbishop Henning had recently asked the parishes of the Archdiocese to consider a special collection to support our brothers and sisters in need in Venezuela.
THANK YOU to St. Julia parishioners who were able to give recently at Mass to our special collection for Venezuela!
If you missed this special collection, but wish to give relief aid for Venezuela, you may donate directly online to Catholic Relief Services HERE.
Your generosity has been essential during previous natural disasters. Any consideration you can give is greatly appreciated.
God bless!
