“SILENCE” MOVIE VIEWING and Discussion: This past Lent, we read Shusaku Endo’s classic novel, Silence, about 17th-c Jesuit martyrs in Japan. Whether you were able to take part in the book discussion or not, we now invite you to join us for a movie viewing of Scorcese’s powerful ilm adaptation, released this past winter. Viewing will be accompanied by brief commentary and subsequent discussion on issues of faith, doubt, persecution, and martyrdom in mission territory and in our lives today. Film is rated R due to violence and not recommended for children. Minors must be accompanied by a parent if they wish to attend.
Two viewing options are available:
Sunday, July 16th at 1 PM
Wednesday, July 19th at 7 PM
Location: Parish Hall
Please contact Christina Valenzuela with any questions. No RSVP required.
