Join Deacon Phil this Fall in Scripture Sharing: St. John’s First Letter
On Zoom Wednesday Evenings, Oct. 12 – Nov. 2
Summer is behind us, and it is time to get into the swing of Fall! Have you considered a Scripture Sharing group to go along with your Pumpkin Latte and Apple Cider donuts?
Deacon Phil here! I am offering a four-week, Zoom-based Scripture Sharing with St. John’s First Letter (1 John). This letter is known for its opening Prologue, which parallels the Prologue in St. John’s Gospel. It reaffirms how believing in Jesus must affect the way we live our lives, and especially, treat one another. It commands us to “love not in word or speech, but in deed and truth” (1 John 3:18). How can we relate to this? Would you like to know more?
All are invited to join me (Deacon Phil) for a prayerful reading and discussion of this letter. We will meet on Wednesdays, October 12, 19, 26 and November 2, at 7:30pm on Zoom. You do not need a Bible, but reading Scripture directly from a Bible is always encouraged.
To register, contact Deacon Phil (director.of.ministries@stjulia.org) to receive the Zoom link and more information.
