Maximilian: Saint of Auschwitz, performed by the magnificent Leonardo DeFilippis of St. Luke’s Productions, an acclaimed national touring company, will be staged in St. Julia Church, on Friday, April 8th, at 7 PM. Tickets, purchased at the door, will be $15. No advance reservations are needed. Fr. Evans has seen this same company perform one-person plays on St. Therese, the Little Flower, and on St. Faustina, of the Divine Mercy devotion. Both were very well done. The story of Maximilian Kolbe is tremendously moving. His life brought the virtue of mercy alive. Those aged 10 and over are the appropriate audience for this serious but uplifting story. Fr. Evans is looking for sponsors for this religious event. Gifts of $800 will provide what is needed for the parish to pay expenses. Please be in contact with Fr. Evans if you are able and willing to come forward to help make this play possible.
