We have successfully reached our Goal!
Father Mark reflects on parishioner support that sustains St. Julia…

Dear Friends,
As our Christmas Season has now come to a close, I want to express my profound gratitude to all who have given such wonderful support to our Parish.
I am grateful for those who are engaged in our various ministries. The Eucharist stands at the center of our lives of Faith. Our Parish benefits from the weekend assistance at Masses by Msgr. Fay and Fr. Zwosta, as weekend assistants. We remember too, this week especially, the wonderful Masses Fr. Bob offered and pray for him as he is laid to rest at Campion Center on Tuesday. Deacon Rafe continues to preach the Word with enthusiasm and guide our RCIA candidates. Eucharistic Ministers serve our community, not only at our Masses, but many also bring Christ, in the Eucharist and in their compassion, to the homebound and those in the Assisted Living Residences in our area. We are also blessed by some very kind teenagers who faithfully serve at the Mass, Ushers who welcome the congregation and Lectors committed to the proclamation of Sacred Scripture. Our Music program truly enhances all that we do – we are wonderfully graced with Brian Moll, Mara, Martin, the Adult and now Children’s Choirs.
The Faith Formation of our youth is vital for the Church’s mission of evangelization. This year we have had a change of Directors with the retirement of Cindy Harrington and the on-boarding of Jackie Ashba as our new Director. It has been a smooth transition with the great professionalism and expertise of both, along with the “historical memory” and kindness of Ann Beré as Secretary. The Program, of course, is supported by a team of our faithful catechists who generously give of their time and talent. There are so many more who support our Parish Mission and Ministries. I think of the long hours and coordination that goes into the incredible work of our Saint Vincent De Paul Society. There’s not only the Food Pantry, but assistance given to needy individuals and families throughout the year. The various “Drives” show forth a great spirit of giving in this community. My gratitude to all who support our Parish’s Social Outreach in so many ways.
This is just a sampling of the wonderful ways our Parishioners help support our Mission and Ministries. There are so many who quietly help to “make things work” in our Parish. I am extremely thankful for all who support Saint Julia’s in various ways.
I am, also, happy to report that we have successfully reached our goal of $265,000 for the Parish Grand Annual this week, due to the generosity of so many. Further gifts to the Grand Annual will certainly be welcomed to assist with non-budgeted Capital projects.
With Thankfulness and Blessings,
Father Mark Mahoney, Pastor
