This year, our Saint Julia Parish Giving Tree drive gives to three wonderful charities.
All unwrapped gifts in gift bag with ornament due by Sunday, December 10th, 2017
Drop off your gifts under the Christmas Tree in Saint Julia Parish Center Lower Lobby or in either of our churches.
Step 1: Choose a star with a child’s or family’s Christmas wish.
Step 2: Buy a gift appropriate to the age listed or follow the instructions on the star to give a gift card or monetary donation.
Step 3: Put the unwrapped gift into a gift bag + attach your star.
Step 4: Return the gift to either church by December 10, 2017.

Who gets the gift I buy? St. Julia Parish donates gifts to the children of Dorchester’s Tri-Parishes and of our local SVDP client families. We support families in need at St. Patrick’s Parish, Lowell, with gift cards to choose gifts for their families.
How do I give a monetary gift? You can support the Giving Tree project monetarily if you are unable to go out and choose a gift. Please make checks out to St. Vincent de Paul with memo: Giving Tree. Please drop checks in the collection basket at Mass, mail to 374 Boston Post Road, Weston, MA 02493, or deposit in one of our church’s Poor Boxes.
How are monetary donations used? Monetary donations are used first to fulfill any gift requests that are not taken care of and then any remaining donations are added to the general fund of our local St. Vincent de Paul Conference to serve people in need in Lincoln and Weston.
Where do I put my gift card? The easiest and safest way to donate a gift card is to put it in a small gift bag (just like any other gift) and return it to either of our churches or the parish center with star attached. The bag ensures that gift cards will not get lost in the shuffle of the many gifts collected.
Why do I need to return the gift unwrapped, but in a bag? Unwrapped gifts are easier to identify, to ensure the request has been met. The bag allows parents or party organizers to easily finish wrapping the gifts with the simple addition of tissue paper before giving to children.
Why do I need to include the star? The colored star allows our Giving Tree team to sort the gift requests and get them to the appropriate charity and recipient.
