Thank you to the students in Grade 4 who hosted last week’s Family Mass and Café Julia. You were wonderful!
Please keep in prayer our students in Grade 2, who along with their families, are preparing to receive their First Penance soon!
Important Dates to Remember:
November 26/27: Happy Thanksgiving! No classes on Sunday or Monday. Have a safe and delicious holiday!
December 2: Grade 2 Penance Service, 10:30 am in St. Julia Church.
December 3: Grade 1 Mass and Family Gathering; the students will host the Mass by greeting parishioners as they arrive, and bringing up the gifts of bread and wine. Following the Mass, we will attend Café Julia, and then return to the Church for a Church tour. We will end at 11:10. More details will be emailed to you.
Did you know…
…that the word “Eucharist” comes from the Greek word “Eukharistia” which means “Giving Thanks”, or “Thanksgiving”? As Americans we give thanks to God in November and share a big meal with family. As Catholics, we give thanks to God every Sunday, with a meal that we all share with our Church family—the Body and Blood of Christ!
Be sure that you have put all of your child’s grade level events on your calendar! The children and at least on parent are expected to participate in the Café Julia and Family Gathering moments! Children preparing to receive the Sacraments MUST attend the workshops!
