This year, our parish celebrates its hundredth year! Please join us in celebrating the presence of the Catholic Faith in Lincoln and Weston, and be sure to check back here for updates and information on upcoming events. Let our parish staff know if you have a story to share about the history of our parish, or if you’d like to help with planning or hosting any events to mark this important year!
HERE’S THE FALL LINE-UP…
August 11th: Come Celebrate 100 Years of Faith! On August 11, 1919, St. Julia Parish was officially founded. One hundred years later, on that exact date, August 11, 2019, we will be celebrating our usual Summer Sunday Masses and gathering for a Continental Breakfast Social after the 9:00 am Mass in the Parish Center Hall. Happy Anniversary, everyone!!
September 15th: Annual Picnic- Celebrate Faith Food and Fun Variety of games for Kids and adults (including Archery)
Many volunteers are needed to continue to make the Annual Parish Outdoor Mass and Picnic day a huge success. Volunteer opportunities include: publicity, setup and cleanup, parking, greeting, food preparation, food serving, providing a dessert, families to help with games, helpers for crafts and activities, and help with many other small tasks. Signup now to be part of one of our parish’s best-loved traditions!
Donations for the Picnic are needed: This is also our first call for donations for prizes for some of the activities. WE NEED A TOTAL OF 36 bottles of wine for the Over-21 Ring Toss; and a pie or cake (or other special scrumptious creation) for the Dessert Roulette Wheel – any and all donations are gladly accepted – thanks in advance for your generosity.
September 22nd : Ministry Fair- Sunday Morning after our Family Mass, learn more about the ways our St Julia’s community attempts to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community and in our world.
