Podcasts and Audio Links

Podcasts are audio files available for download on the internet. They are published on a variety of topics, and often include popular radio programs and well-known speakers. Many are serialized, and new episodes can be automatically downloaded by subscribing, generally for free. The files are usually in mp3 format, and can be played using iTunes, a free software application that run on both Windows and Macintosh computers.

After downloading iTunes, open it and click on the podcast icon in the lefthand window to see a directory of all available podcasts. There is a search field for finding podcasts of particular interest. Once you choose a podcast, you will download the episode to your computer, and it can be played through the iTunes application whenever you want. From iTunes you can also burn a CD to play it in a regular CD player or your car, or download the podcast to an iPod or other mp3 players.
